Social Studies Reflection Summary

Social Studies Reflection Summary

I conducted a Social Inquiry of the Human Rights issues in Syria. The main causes of these Human Rights being violated are because of a group of rebels named ISIS terrorising Syria. This group kills all humans that belong to the Christian religion. The Consequences of these actions if ISIS soldiers are caught they would be executed and if they are still not captured they will be targeted. In some occasions parts of Syria where ISIS were last seen or has thought to be ISIS headquarters had been targeted with missiles to try and take out remaining soldiers or equipment that may help them in their war path.
In the perspective of ISIS they think they are doing the right thing. They think that there belief in their God (Allah) grows stronger every time they kill a person who believes in a different God.
In my own perspective I think that what they are doing is bad. Killing someone just because there not believing in the same thing that your believing is wrong. Every person deserves to serve and believe in their own God.

Union Trade

If farmers join Union of Fair Trade children would not need to work in Cocoa farmers. This would stop Child Labour or decrease the number of children in Child Labour. They would get more money and the profit that will be made will go back to the community.  The community can buy a water pipes for cleaner and fresher water and can buy corn mills.

Cell

Living & Non-Living
A living thing can grow, move, reproduce, sense, respire and excrete. For example a living thing is Humans and Animals because they can all do these things. A Non-Living things is exactly the opposite of a Living thing. They can not row, move, reproduce, sense, respire and excrete. They are basically dead.

Cell Structure

Cell membrane: very thin transparent sheet that holds everything inside & controls what comes in & out.

Cell wall: made of cellulose & only found in plants, thick & strong, provides strength for the plant.

Nucleus: usually a small dark circular spot. The control centre for the cell & contains  genes.

Cytoplasm: watery jelly like substance which fills most of the cell. It holds the cell organelles and contains nutrients & chemicals.

Vacuole: water filled bubble that helps to keep the cell firm

Chloroplasts: small green structures found only in the green part of plants. They make sugar for the plant.

Mitochondria: the part of the cell that does respiration to give the cell energy.
