The Rain To Other World

In a little village near Kingston Town on planet Dwarf there lived a little Hobbit named Number One. He was having a nice time trying to climb onto his bed. There was a reason why he was called Number One it was because he was the shortest person in the village. As One got on to his bed he laid down and prayed to God for a miracle to happen for him to get bigger like he did every time he went to bed. He said goodnight to God and closed his eyes until he heard a low rumble.

A gaelforce wind rumbled outside. There was a rain of hail closing in. Number One was worried. One’s window turned white then cracked, his roof was ripped off from his house because of the   horrendous wind. Number One was sucked into a colossal white hurricane. His mouth was full of this weird water or was it. He swallowed the sustenance, it was milk. One felt stronger for the moment. Then the hurricane stopped. One fell from the sky. He got closer to the ground until he froze as he was going to hit the landscape beneath him.

Slowly landing on a green soft thing he noticed he was not in the village he was in another world. He fell flat onto the ground on his back. He stood up in a world full of green things with brown stuff under it. There was another rumble but no wind only a white fluffy thing forming in the sky.
A deep voice said “Hello King Caesar of the Human”.One was looking around to see who else was there. One replied to the deep voice “Who are and who are you talking to”. The deep voice spoke again “ I am God the holy one. I have chosen you carry on the leadership of my son to lead the human race to victory from The Animals who are trying to take over earth” One thought about what God said and leading the human race and changing his name is a huge improvement in his life but he told God “but I am only a dwarf a small human”. God was confused. He knew that he hadn't noticed that he grew during the storm of milk. God made a mirror out the mud, grass, roots and leaves then said “look in this mirror and look how big you have grown and if you will accept this deal your knowledge will grow as well” One accepted the offer and he was crowned the King of the Humans.

Caesar (Number One) led all the men that God and Caesar could recruit and fought in the cities, jungles and in the sea. King Caesar grew each day but was dethroned when he was baptised and he was called Goliath. He was a giant but he still went to war when he was beaten by a little human named David. Goliath (Caesar or Number One) was always be remembered.

Valid Frames

Today in our Club Kidprenuer business meeting my group focused on designing our product. To do this we used some of materials that we already have and used blu-tack to stick it on. We created four designs to sale.

Awsome Logo

In today's business meeting we made up our logo and name for our group. Our group name came up when our group had an idea to put all our first letter of our names in our group name. So everyone came up with Valid, the V stand's for Vanni, the A stand's for Agnes, the L and the I stand's for Lio (Me) and the D stand's for Dehnyse. Our logo above was created when we put all our favorite colors and patterns together and we created Valid Frames.

Road Safety Moniters

Road safety monitoring  is a good leadership road.

Road safety monitors are a role model for younger and older people. If you are a monitor your are showing leadership in a different and unique way. Monitors keep pedestrians safe when crossing the road. People need to remember to watch and listen to the safety monitors and cross only when they save to.

Getting cars to reduce  their speed when approaching a road patrol crossing is an important part of the job. School  road safety monitors are supported by an adult  when going on duty. Teachers or adults can help you increase awareness and help with signals if the driver cannot see the monitor on duty.

A car just doesn't cause accident monitors can to. A safety monitor on duty should always be focused when on patrols. Remaining focused, is of huge importance in road safety. You have to be focused throughout the job.

Every school or a very busy pedestrian crossing should have a road safety monitors.

Vintage Vacuum

IMGA0490.JPGA vacuum is probably the best appliance in the house old or new. The vintage vacuum in the Fencibles Cottage caught my eyes as I explored in the kitchen.  It looked very different from the modern one to the olden day one but it surely looked cool.

Using an old fashioned vacuum did not rely or powered  by electricity but on air. Instead of turning on the plug the handle was actually a pump where you pump air and in a big metal tin in the middle of the vacuum. The tin  was where the rubbish and dust was stored.

It looked very light even though the whole vacuum was made out of metal. Our modern day vacuum is made out of plastic but is very heavy. Our vacuum today has a plug that you have to drag around but a old vacuum is like a end of the modern day vacuum that you swish around with.

So if you had a choice what would you choose a modern day vacuum or a olden day vacuum?

Fencible Cottage
We have been learning about the Fencibles who settled in Panmure in the 1840’s.
These men travelled from the other side of the world to begin a new life in New Zealand.
They were known by some as retired soldiers. When they came, they brought their families and as many of their belongings that they were allowed to bring.  They came on big ships.
Recently we visited the Stone Cottage in Panmure to see what life was like for the Fencibles.

Snails House

I am learning to write a explanation on a chosen topic
images (12).jpg
Snail Picture
Snails House
A snail lives in a shell. The shell is on them when they are born but it is small so they grow each day.The shell is on its back so the snail carries it everywhere. Some of the shell’s is spiral like a cone or tornado. To access the shell the snail has to cuddle up into to a spiral. A snail takes slow because of its house.

When a snail is scared and want to hide from predators the snail hides in it’s small Snail Picture house. A snail's shell is strong for an insect but for humans they can be easily crushed. A snail’s shell is not the same as a crabs or turtle.

No two species of a snail having the exactly the same colour or shape of the shell. Some shells are usually brown therefore a snail can go in it’s house and can use the shell to camouflage in the dirt. Most snails has other coloured like bright yellow, red , and orange for designs.

Emotions and Feelings

Feelings
People use and show their attitudes and emotions in different ways.

Many people that are happy and joyful smile or laugh. Other people clench their jaws and jump and down or just show weird facials. When I am happy I whisper or shout yes and will be over excited. People don’t just smile and laugh just to show they’re happy. Some people do unusually acquired stuff like cry or use body language like do flip’s or sprint around. Almost everyone in the world has experienced being happy.

Sadness is a common emotion. Most people are sad when someone has died, or when someone has to face serious consequences like going to jail. When someone has broke up or you have failed. People show sadness when they cry, or have a red face, don’t want to talk about it, or just not want to be around anyone.

Anger is an emotion that I wish had never be invented. I  hate when people get angry. People always swear, kick and punch, or even have a fight and shout. People will do serious damage if they keep on being angry. Angry is dumb angry is stupid angry is wordless!

When people get scared you use scads of body language. Hiding in boxes and around corners scare them but if you shout boo are raa you will catch them a frighten them. People should be careful when you scare people before people will get nightmares or will give someone a heart attack.

These are four emotions that you can show; can you tell me more?

A New Year, New Starting

Kia Ora my name is Kolio. I am back and I'm in a new class, grown taller, and I'm a year older.
I'm a year 7 in Room 8 at Saint Patrick's School. I'm ready to learn, more confident and I have a positive  attitude. My new class mates are good role models for next year and college.

Euphraise Barbier

We are learning to talk about Eupharise-her values, attitudes, faith, and practices. The wordle is a creative expression of the writing that follows.

Euphrasie Barbier was born the 4th of January 1829 at Caen, France into a industrious lower class family. Euphraise began a new missionary institute known as the RNDM Mission Sisters during the year of 1848.

It was a family in with strong Catholic faith. When Euphrasie was young girl she appreciated her mother for her vibrant faith, and the importance of her family. The example of her father Louis, a shoemaker, taught Euphrasie the importance of a job well done and honestly completed. When she was a young adult the church in France was an extraordinarily a live and courageous church.

All through her life she had strong faith in God and had a humble, positive attitude. Even though Euphrasie had  hard but challenging times she kept her head up and pushed through those kind of times.  Her actions demonstrate her courage ,determination, and commitment and strong faith helped her through what she did.
